It's been a while since I last wrote in here, mostly due to a demanding work schedule as the financial controller at Clark and Gable (as in C&G Jewelers). Frankly, I was quite surprised when they gave me that position because I had originally applied for a basic accountant position but got a supervisory one instead. Not that I'm complaining; I do less work and get paid more. I'm just thrown by the fact that they think I'm qualified for the job.

I am glad that the authorities are finally making progress in this investigation. But I am left to wonder what is the point of all this? I guess if the Foundation of Squib Integration wanted the rest of the magic'd population to know what it feels like to be magic-less, then fine, mission accomplished. I just thought they would have used their hard-earned money to do something more productive than to purchase what I am going to assume to be an illegal potion, such as, I don't know, accomplishing their namesake, I guess.

I must admit that I had found this magic "disappearing" debacle slightly random in the beginning until Ms. Abbot disappeared, which, if you sat down and thought about it, is not as surprising as it first appears. Having practically broadcasted that one has no magic does put one in a rather tight spot, that is, it is much like announcing to the entire magical community that you have very little to defend yourself with against other magic. If I was a conspiracist, I'd actually say that this was entirely pre-planned. Of course, there is a chance that these two events are completely independent of one another and I am drawing a conclusion out of nothing.

And seriously? 560 000 galleons in "entertainment" expenses?
